Digital marketing manager

We are looking for a talented, dedicated and personable digital marketing manager to join our lovely team and help us build on the work we do for our clients. You’ll be involved at all levels of digital work – from strategy and campaign planning through to day-to-day implementation and ongoing reporting. You’ll need to be on top of all the usual tools and how to use them, but also comfortable at a more strategic level helping our clients work out what they need to achieve and how to go about it. 

You’ll have the confidence and communications skills to be comfortable dealing with customers at all levels in businesses of all sizes, whether you’re meeting the CEO of a multinational company or getting to know a brand new small business owner. You’ll be excited about the idea of working with clients in lots of different ways: pitching ideas, forming strategy at the start of projects, day-to-day contact when implementing campaigns, and also helping us with delivery of our excellent training packages for clients. The role will also include taking on our own digital marketing, managing Mole’s marketing strategy across the year and day-to-day.

We’re advertising this as a full-time role, but we’re also open to discussions around part-time or flexible working for the right candidate.


Essential skills and experience:
  • Happy to split your time bewteen hands-on "doing" and higher level strategy
  • Hands-on:
    • Experience of social media management
    • Creating and managing advertising campaigns via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and others
    • Google Adwords and other PPC
    • Search engine optimisation
    • Email marketing - creating and sending email newsletters
  • Experience of running digital campaigns at a strategic level as well as day-to-day implementation
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of working with all major social media platforms
Things which will really make you stand out:
  • B2B agency experience
  • Understanding of website UX and user journey planning and optimisation
  • AB testing experience
  • Google Analytics experience
  • Project management experience – if you’re able to run digital projects rom end to end, this would be a big bonus
  • Design skills - we will really love you if you are able to create assets for your campaigns using Photoshop

Specific responsibilities:
Strategic level:
  • Planning digital campaigns for Mole clients alongside our web and video teams
  • Coming up with creative ideas for new campaigns and activities
  • Planning the direction and strategy of Mole’s own digital marketing, working with Mole’s directors
  • Social media strategy
  • Planning digital marketing calendars
  • Day-to-day management of digital campaigns
  • PPC set up and management
  • SEO planning and implementation (training can be given if needed)
  • Social media management and delivery – both for Mole and for our clients
  • Ongoing management and optimisation of campaigns to drive and convert traffic
  • Designing and building email marketing campaigns
  • Working with the web team to help guide the way our platforms interact with Google tools
  • Working with the video team to create video distribution plans
Measurement and reporting
  • Preparing website reports Google Analytics, with suggestions for improvements
  • Reviewing digital campaign performance and providing client reports
  • Website review and performance optimisation
  • AB testing
  • Working with Mole clients to provide them with the skills to carry our day-to-day implementation themselves – particularly focused on social media, blogs, basic SEO, email marketing and website copy


£25,000 – 35,000 plus benefits package depending on skills and experience
