Medical Content Producer / Writer

We’re looking for a looking for a Medical Content Producer / Writer to join our award-winning team. If you are looking for a new challenge for 2021 which will offer you the opportunity to use your writing, editorial and creative skills to support our fantastic portfolio of happy medical industry clients, this could be the role for you. 


This is a new role giving the right candidate the opportunity to forge their own areas of speciality within the team. Responsibilities will include:
  • Writing educational and promotional medical contents based on published research and client documentation:
    • Social media contents and promotions, client product documents, educational toolkits, factsheets, slide decks and e-learning contents
  • Using your understanding of both the medical contents and the needs of generalist and specialist nurses to propose, scope and write tools and assets based on academic research and articles
  • Working with the digital marketing team to provide the editorial input into our award-winning medical communications campaigns and content marketing strategies
  • Supporting the creation of slide decks, presentations and video contents, providing copy and guidance to the creative team
  • Working alongside our project and client managers to take and interpret client briefs, and then working with the creative team to provide support and input to the creative process


Essential skills and experience:
  • Degree in a life-science, medical, pharmaceutical or related subject – or a clinical background which brings insight into the subject area and the pressures our audience face
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to extract key details from academic publications and distil them for a generalist audience clearly and concisely
  • Understanding of the needs and challenges for medical teams and specialists
  • Ability to work across a wide range of therapy areas, learning quickly
  • Experience in the creation and delivery of both promotional and non-promotional medical comms materials such as videos, social media contents, factsheets, toolkits, flyers, slide decks, e-learning modules and more
Things which will really make you stand out:
  • Experience in a medical comms agency environment
  • Knowledge of wound care
  • Project or client management experience – if you’re able to run your own elements of projects, this would be a big bonus

£30,000 – 35,000 plus benefits package depending on skills and experience
